EnggRoom provides Aircraft design projects for Aeronautical
                  engineering students. This High-altitude,long-endurance (HALE),uninhabited
aerial surveillance vehicle (UASV) – Aircraft design project is only for
Aeronautical students. Its a free downloadable one. Download file includes full
study and design materials. The demand for making air traveling more 'pleasant,
secure and productive for passengers is one of the winning factors for airlines
and aircraft industry. Current trends are towards high data rate communication
services, in particular Internet applications. In an aeronautical scenario
global coverage is essential for providing continuous service. Therefore
satellite communication becomes indispensable, and together with the ever
increasing data rate requirements of applications, aeronautical satellite
communication meets an expansive market. Wireless Cabin (IST -2001-37466) is
looking into those radio access technologies to be transported via satellite to
terrestrial backbones . The project will provide UMTS services, W-LAN IEEE
802.11 b and Blue tooth to the cabin passengers. With the advent of new services
a detailed investigation of the expected traffic is necessary in order to plan
the needed capacities to fulfill the QoS demands. This paper will thus describe
a methodology for the planning of such system. In the future, airliners will
provide a variety of entertainment and communications equipment to the
passenger. Since people are becoming more and more used to their own
communications equipment, such as mobile phones and laptops with Internet
connection, either through a network interface card or dial-in access through
modems, business travelers will soon be demanding wireless access to
                  communication services.

Projects Title : High-altitude,long-endurance (HALE) uninhabited aerial surveillance vehicle (UASV)

HALE and UASV’s Description : Airborne reconnaissance has always been an
important function of army intellect. The first use of aircraft in a army
perspective was as artillery spotter aircraft at the begin of WorldWar I.
Presently, airships were used for reconnaissance but they soon became too
susceptible to floor flame. High-altitude monitoring was mastered during the
begin of the ColdWar. Presently, anti-aircraft munitions were incapable to
arrive at great traveling aircraft. The occurrence in which a US head (Gary
Powers) traveling a U2 ‘spy plane’ at 65 000 legs was taken down over Italy cut
down such functions over aggressive area. The exploitation of the head by his
captives and the following governmental and diplomatic repercussions has given
increase to the need for unmanned routes in risky tasks. Surveillance has
therefore been more securely performed by innovative satellite TV systems.

Projects Title : CFD Analysis on the Main-Rotor Blade of a Scale Helicopter Model using Overset Meshing

In this paper, an analysis in computational uid dynamics (CFD) is presented on a helicopter scale model with focus on the main-rotor blades. The helicopter model is encapsulated in a background region and the ow eld is solved using Star CCM+. A surface and volume mesh continuum was generated that contained approximately seven million polyhedral cells, where the Finite Volume Method (FVM) was chosen as a discretization technique.

Projects Title : Laser feedback control for Robotics in Aircraft Assembly

The aim of this study is to investigate how the absolute accuracy of an industrial
robot can be increased by monitoring the position of the robot.
The motive is to automate high precision, low volume production such as aircraft
industry. A laser tracker that can measure both position and orientation with
very high accuracy isused to monitor the robot tool position.
The robot and laser tracker are integrated via a standard computer.
